Hello All,
I have not driven my 96 in about two months and after much trouble, I have discovered that dirt in the fuel tank clogged my injectors. It is mostly my fault, sicnre I knocked dirt in while changing the fuel pump in December, even though I tried my best to be careful. I got a great deal on 8 new injectors on E-bay, but I need to remove the fuel tank and rinse it out. Anyone have any tips on removal of the tank? The exhaust pipe seems run right under it, and I am really not looking forward to removing it.
Thanks for any help..
JC

Not that I am doubting you, but what the h#$% is the fuel filter for if it doesn't catch crap like that before it gets to the injectors??!
Sorry I don't have any constructive advice on dropping the gas tank. I don't have that part of the service manual at the moment.

Hey DS,
I hear you. All I can say is that the filter and the rail were both full of grit and rust. I had put a fuel injector cleaner in a day before it quit. I am thinking it did something to the stuff in the tank, or the filter failed.
Thanks for the input..
