Post your questions on the Yahoo Cabriolet Club or VWVortex.com. Quick replies, daily talk.

I'm gonna donate my silver 88 to charity. I have some nice stuff that I never put on it. A red tailgate, rear big bumper, clear front bumper lights and used tailights too. I will take my clear taillights off before donating, as well as the gray convertible top boot cover, my black leather shift boot, the Audi TT shift knob and the matching wet okole seat covers.

This site is really Honda(Japanese) dominated, although it includes virtually every car out there. You should see how much of a knowledge base/forum there is for Hondas/Acuras/etc.. on this site. As honestmechanic said, you out to find a site which is VW exclusive. It def. sucks to post and no one replies. You should try a search before you post b/c sometimes the question has already been answered. I used to be into Vdubs--had an 89 GL 8 valve. Aftermarket mods were real expensive because it is less common to mod jettas--especially that year. Loved the car but it was slow as shit compared to my CRX si. Ive always wanted a rabbit gti or even just a 2 door rabbit. Still have much respect for VW--also want to restore a classic bug some day.

Unfortunatly this is too true. This is a more Japanese based forum. Although there are holdouts like me who are down with VW's. I come in here all too often and post about VW's and the only people it seems that reply are Honda people. I don't know why it seems that Honda people post more in the VW forums than VW people do. But don't give up hope there are dubbers alive and well in AF, don't fret now.
And Mk2 Jetta GL's are crap, I can see why you got rid of it. It is slow as shit down the stairs compared to CRX Si.

If I ever get in an accident, I hope it is with one of those little japanese pieces of sh!t... We will see what's left... i guarantee that the rabbit will survive... the bumper might get a little scratched ... but the Japanese car will be totalled...

You said: "i guarantee that the rabbit will survive... the bumper might get a little scratched ... but the Japanese car will be totalled."

The rabbit is a great car, just not indestructible as you make it sound to be.

BTW, it was a little sarcastic humour, hence the <lol>= LAUGH OUT LOUD at the end of it.

If indeed you were chatting to me..you are an asshat..lighten up!

I hear ya!! I love the sturdy bumpers of the rabbit..no doubt.

Im actually looking at getting a newer Jetta TDI, and Im just not a fan of broken or chipped bumpers. THe cost is far to high to repair these things.

Now I wish I could find a mint Rabbit diesel around...my old 81 is getting miled out, and a little rough around the edges. I would like a new interior actually.
