I don't know if you know this but the 2004 Aztec is the last year of production of this platform.

I think this is going to replace the Aztec.
DETROIT -- Pontiac will add a small sport wagon for the 2006 model year, built on the same platform as the 2005 Chevrolet Equinox.

I swear to God, if the new vehicle has a 3.4 I'm going to scream. PUT A 3.8 IN THE DAMN THING.

Here is a quote from a Pontiac Executive about the future of the Aztek.

"NSAP: The public seems very confused about the future of the Aztek, many reports suggest that the vehicle is dying after the 2004 model year and being replaced by a Theta or Lambda-based vehicle, can you clear that up?

Mark: The Aztek will remain part of our portfolio for the foreseeable future. Sales were up slightly in 2003 compared to 2002. It's a steady performer and very popular among its devoted owners, many of whom belong to independent owner's clubs."

That may be true! GM lets the public know before they tell the dealers anything!

Next time a recall is announced call a dealer and ask about it!! The answer will be "We know nothing and you know more about it than us".
