I have a '96 Grand Cherokee Loredo....the Diagnostic panel....that shows doors open, mal-functions etc....remains on with the ignition switch off...at times the headlights turn on....or the heater blower goes on....rear lamp failure sometimes goes on but lights work....if left overnight the battery will be dead...anyone have a solution as to the source of the problem and what might need to be replaced....many thanks....

I had simular problem but my Diagnostic Panel would go blank then would come back on and date and time was reset. I found plug was not inserted all the way. Your problem sounds like you have wires that are pinched and shorting out.

:iagree:
It's definitely a wire not plugged in right or shorting, but if all those different things are happening, the problem could be anywhere I would think.
