annoying "klunk" coming from my lifted '96 ZJ. Any ideas?BigMac21 04-05-2004, 05:37 PM I have a 1996 Grand Cherokee Limited that has a 3.5" Rusty's lift on it and 31" tires. Ever since I put the lift on, there has been a "klunk" sound that comes from all 4 corners of the jeep when I go over a bump. The sound is really annoying and can be felt through the floorboards. I've tightened and torqued all of the bolts, but nothing will make it go away. Its gotten especially bad in the back, left corner of the jeep. I read on a website that it may be the bushings on the new shocks that absorb the bump before the actual shock does, but I"m not sure. Anyone's ideas, comments, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. [rYan] 04-11-2004, 03:05 AM Hey, I may not be correct but I worked on a Jeep once that was doing the same thing.. I noticed his shock absorber and coilovers were bumping the floorpan creating small dents in the floorboard.. I would check to make sure that this isn't occuring.. Also, does it only happen on large bumps or any bump?
