The fuel guage in my R33 GTS-t is reading full regardless of the amount of fuel in the tank.

I need to the location of the fuel sender wires so I can check if its resistance ( is changing with the fuel level to determine if it the sender or guage at fault.

Any suggestions or experience would be appreciated.

I have a similar problem with my R32 GTS4 - just that it can't make up its mind how much fuel is in the tank. Sometimes it will show full, then 5 minutes later it shows 2/3, then it shows 1/4, etc. It does eventually show near empty.

In these cars, I am led to believe that earthing is VERY important. It must be a matter of finding where the sender / gauge goes to ground, and checking that it has clean connections.

I've checked the loom connection in the boot (under the mat), but it hasn't made any difference to the behaviour of the gauge.

Is it like a temp gauge, where you can test if its working by grounding the wire which normally attaches to the sender? Maybe the sender wire is shorted to earth (have fun finding where!)

Sorry I can't be more help

I have resolved my always full problem, the sender had become disconnected fron it mounting bracket and sunk to the bottom of the tank, reconnected to its bracket and all is well....cost....1 hour of my time and no parts.
