More questions about my wife's 95 Aurora. She noticed whisps of smoke coming from behind the steering wheel. I told her to let it set until I could look at it. By the weekend, her battery was completely dead (original battery). First where did others get their replacement batteries for $85-105? I can't even find listing for it on the web.
Next, has anyone else seen "whisps" of smoke from the steering column? I have remove the covers and the wiring looks good.
Thanks,
Neal

Just call around to all the places that have or especially distrubute AC Delco parts. If the distributor also sells to retail customers, you're golden.

I've never seen smoke up there in my 95. It definitely sounds like a short that needs to be addressed.

I'm not aware of third-party batteries for the Aurora. Call Buick and Olds dealerships (and maybe Caddy ones too), as well as any parts stores that sell AC Delco parts, and you should be able to find one.
