well about 10:30 I rolled out to the "spot". It was pretty lame at first so around quarter after 11 I asked some dude in a CRX to race for the hell of it. The first run, he missed the 1-2 shift, so we went again. The 2nd time he missed the 2-3 shift and I was a little ahead of him at that point so we decided that 3rd time would be a charm. So we went off and he was hanging around my rear bumper up to around 80 mph when I shifted into 3rd and started to gradually pull away, I ended up winning by about a car and a half. I was suprised at how well he kept up with me, so I asked him what he had. All he said was that he had a B-16 VTEC swap, and that's all he said, but he acted like my car was all fast and that he was surprised I beat him. Oh well, at least I won.

Ahh you could have met up with some of your fellow AF members. No big deal though, cause you got to squash a CRX. BTW a B16 a motor dynos at atleast 135 whp, so for that small a ride, that's alot.

my friend has a 90 crx with a jdm b16 swap. 130-something hp will make a 1900 lb car seem like a lil rocket. i never want to race him in public cuz i don't want people thinkin the maxima is comparable in speed to a crx. i'm usually about a car or 2 ahead of him, which isn't much for the extra 100 hp i have over him.

yeah, I didn't know if it was a B16a j1 or not....all the dude said was "B-16 VTEC"......what I wanted to say was "be more specific" but I didn't want to come off looking like a prick.

My car weighs around 2300lbs, has around 150hp, and it still feels slow ;)

That is until you get into a corner hard on the brakes, the back end starts to come around and you countersteer and give it a little power to exit smoothly. Then it feels pretty fast. :iceslolan

but b16 swapped crx/civics are supposed to be around the same times i have, most i see kids run 14.8-15.0's

one last year i seen run 14.6 but he had way more mods than i/e most people think im lying when i say i have an ls and beat them because they cant be beat by an ls because they have the allmighty b16

but driver is alot i think i can drive my car very well, i have yet to see anyone run those times with an ls swap with just i/e

A B18 is a better swap all around (It's a bigger engine). Though, to be honest, there are alot of B16a motors with better times then your car CivicHBsi91. They dyno around 155 whp with such minor mods as headers, cold air intake, and a catback exhaust. It's cheap to get parts for a B16a motor too, and the motors are relatively inexpensive. It will never have the top end of a B18 though, cause i've seen some sick ass vids of Integra's with turbos beating LS1's with no problem.

and 2000ls1 yea there are alot but most of them have internal work, like cams etc... i havent seen a b16 in a crx/civic with i/e running 14.7's or even an ls, it should have better top end than a b18 because of vtec i dont have vtec, i have the non vtec b18
