Has anyone installed keyless entry on their cherokee?

I have an 89 cherokee laredo, and am considering buying one of the kits but want to make sure im not going to run into any problems.

When i remove the drivers side door panel their is another metal panel that blocks access to most of the inner workings of the door. There are some openings in it but not enough to work freely in the door. It appears you need some specially shaped tools to take this inner metal panel off.

Will this be a problem with installing the keyless entry? Are there any other factors to consider that maybe im not thinking about?
