Hi everyone. I own a 97 Aurora with 110k miles on the odometer, but around 35k on the actual engine. I was wondering what semi cheap performance parts I might be able to buy to give the Aurora a little more pep. I realize this has probably been posted on here a few times, but this is my first time reading the Aurora forum. I have heard good and bad things about cold air intakes, but I was wondering if any of you have experience doing slight modifications to your aurora. I am not looking for some performance parts that will make the car TOTALLY haul ass ( I have the 3 cars in my signature for that). Im just looking for a few things that will give me a little more power. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Rob

I'd suggest the first thing you do is get a K & N panel filter and modify your airbox. There are some pages covering this over at http://www.caddyinfo.com - basically, you can remove the lower chamber, the side chamber (someone here posted that you can plug this hole with a 2" PVC pipe cap, commonly found at Menards for under $3), and removing the inner airbox liner. This will help performance greatly (and sound wonderful) at very little cost. There are other performance options, but at much greater expense...

Hope this helps,

The short RAM pipe intake option is not really recommended unless you can design a working custom heat shield. The 80mm ported throttle body is a good mod. Also I have dual Magnaflows on my exhaust and the mufflers sound better and I get better exhaust flow.

Not a lot of mods out there but our boy Ty at Domestic Performance has a 5200 dollar turbo kit :D
