engine swapDSPblazin 04-03-2004, 01:19 PM i was wondering if i can do a engine swap from the stock 4.3L v6 to a 4.8L v8 airforceone 04-03-2004, 03:56 PM Yes, all it takes is money. You can swap anything into anything really. Your budget is the only limiting factor. I'm thinking of a similar swap myself. DSPblazin 04-03-2004, 10:33 PM I knew it would take SOME money but I was also wondering how long it would take after i got all the parts and misc. parts to go with and the air force is great rlith 04-04-2004, 09:01 AM Easier to swap in a 350 (5.7) DSPblazin 04-04-2004, 11:46 AM Yeah but will it fit in a 00 blazer rlith 04-04-2004, 11:54 AM Easily... Most of us with s10's/blazer/bravada/sonomas drop 350's into them... Grab yourself an LT1 or LS1 engine... Bolts right in then just redo some of the wiring and you're off. airforceone 04-04-2004, 12:14 PM It's very easy to get a 350 in the S-10 engine bay, but it's kind of tight. I was thinking of using the newer 4.8 because it's physically smaller than a 5.7, and I am kicking around ideas of a turbo so I need all the space I can get. DSPblazin 04-04-2004, 03:25 PM Ok so well I guess that I get more power and a little less engine bay space DSPblazin 04-04-2004, 03:26 PM Oh and my walet gets a little smaller to go with rlith 04-04-2004, 04:01 PM a 4.8 is going to have very little power over a 4.3 (not enough to justify the swap) Now an LS1 or LT1 would definatly justify it... DSPblazin 04-04-2004, 06:45 PM Ok now for the fun part figuring out which one to use DSPblazin 04-07-2004, 10:20 PM would a chevy 350 ZZ4 fit in my 2000 blazer rlith 04-08-2004, 05:53 AM Pretty much any 350 will fit into our trucks... DSPblazin 04-08-2004, 11:24 PM Ok I was just wondering thank you for the info vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
