I have a Haynes manual covering UK Primera 1990 - 1999 but it only mentions cable operated clutch.

My T4 is also hydraulic. I haven't looked yet, but I expect there would be some sort of adjustment between the slave cylinder and fork lever.

Otherwise, have you tried bleeding the hydraulic system? It might have some air in it.
