Slimedog flotaing his Xterra for a brief moment before his tires grabbed ground and pulled his lucky ass out of this deeper than expected water hole. http://xterra4x4.com/images/bin/through.jpg Aquamander 05-04-2001, 08:29 PM What a shocker! Did any water enter?... C Schludwiller 11-04-2001, 09:40 PM Yes, it's Sand Lake, Oregon. A few miles south of Tilamook. He was blowing out some steam from his exhaust, but I'm not sure if that wasn't just the exhaust. His truck is still running and no water got in the compartment. superjens 11-04-2001, 09:51 PM *cough*bullshit*cough* I smell photoshop. OffroadX 11-04-2001, 11:51 PM Jens, Nope, you haven't seen the Photoshopped pic. That's the real thing! The Photoshopped one has the water up to the windows. Brent Schludwiller 11-05-2001, 12:06 AM Yes, here is the real pic! http://xterra4x4.com/images/bin/swimming.jpg superjens 11-05-2001, 12:07 AM Ian you gotta be kidding -- how did he NOT hydrolock? Schludwiller 11-05-2001, 12:08 AM Nope! Wait that's me swimming at Kite Lake, CO (12,500 ft). Here's the photoshopped pic. http://xterra4x4.com/images/bin/submarine.jpg So where is your water crossing photo SuperJens? :finger: superjens 11-05-2001, 12:55 AM Well I wasn't sure I'd make it, after all I still had my steprails on at the time, and didn't install a snorkle. But still, as you can tell in this pic the rushing water almost dragged me over the edge. If it wasn't for my quick reactions and heavy foot on the go pedal, I'm sure that would have been my early demise. http://www.superjens.com/pictures/Old/crossing_stream_2.jpg Xlax 11-05-2001, 12:58 AM The puddle was caused by me...I got out of the truck and had to get rid of the six pack I had on the way up......... :p Schludwiller 11-05-2001, 01:44 AM ChuckH 11-05-2001, 01:44 AM Originally posted by superjens Well I wasn't sure I'd make it, after all I still had my steprails on at the time, and didn't install a snorkle.
