14,500...not too bad I guess...with all the financing and shit it's 19k w/ a 5 year loan...a little more than I wanted to spend, but the j-body was getting really annoying.

Hoping to have it paid off by spring 2006...then I'll have the credit and the car will still be worth over 5k...probly 10k so I can sell it and finance a 240 and save the other money for college or a house.

The engine looks and sounds good, interior is excellent other than some minor stains on the driver seat from coffee or something, but they haven't detailed it yet so hopefully all that shit will come out though. There is a small ding by the rear tail light and a scratch near the edge of the trunk lid.

...Well I tried to get more than 5 loans in various ways and they all failed so I was either stuck with my old car or a fairly new car...and I still wanted a nissan...

I would have bought a 350z only it was about 20k more than I wanted to spend.

I dunno any 1/4-mile times...but I'm pretty sure this is an overall faster car...it's a tad bit lighter than the lightest stock 240.

congratulations on your new nissan. im happy for you, my cousin has that car and its a fun ride for a FF. pretty quick for a stock car too.

I'm still not so sure the ca-powered s13 would beat my car...what mods does he have? They both have within 10hp of each other in stock form...and mine is n/a with over a half liter more displacement. That's beside the point anyway...my car really isn't made for drag racing.

Only problems I have with the car so far is that the shifter is not short enough for my taste and isn't quite as short of a throw as I'd like. The speedo is a little annoying too since it goes by 20mph increments...think you're going 50 and really your going 60...not good. The last downside is the tires are too sticky to spin them...they hop mostly...but that's really not a bad thing...unless you want to piss people off. :lol2:

The interior and engine kick ass, but the outside doesn't look nearly as nice. The spec-v option makes the car's outside look a little nicer and the color helps, but it's still a sentra...so it can't look as good as a 240 :disappoin

It's dark out now, but tomorrow morning I should be able to get some nice shots of the engine and interior :)

The car has very good handling for an ff...good slalom speeds from what I hear...supposed to be able to outhandle a wrx :P

R32? It's harder to get a loan for an older car and the r32 wouldn't be legal to drive for that little. The whole point of getting this car was to get better credit and to have a faster car.

Maybe I'll get some interior pics today...it was raining out though so maybe I'll wait for a sunnier day.

173 at the wheels is a heck of a lot different than 175 crank power...plus he has verified that is his power, you may be low or higher than what's posted by a bit....your 1/4 mile would tell the 'real' power if you ran it well.

the bank I am using for my current loan and the one I will be using for the 240sx allows for cars up to 11 years old. Also since I'm not saving up to buy one outright I will probly look for a 98.

About crank and wheel hp...I wasn't paying attention when I got the stats...sorry...I respect the ca18det for what it is...but it definitely isn't much in stock form. Any discrepency in rwhp will seem small compared to the ability of the driver and overall setup of the car; if he wants to prove his car is faster then I am very welcome to that.

If I do get a swap (once gas prices go down and my financial situation is a few thousand more per year) I would only consider an rb25...otherwise sticking with the stock ka makes more sense than any swap.

Paying so much for an engine with over half a liter less displacement seems pretty stupid since the ka block definitely isn't a shitty thing to start out with.
