Hi I am planning on buy an second hand car, and I was thinking of a 1998 QX4. Can anyone tell me how are they as second hand car? How much maintenace will be and do I have to put a lot of money for repairs after I buy one. THx for your help.

You did not mention how many miles this qx4 has on it. The biggest maintenance item is replacing the timing belt at 100,000 miles. If a dealer does it, I would think it could be fairly expensive ($400-500??). Other than that these are fairly reliable vehicles. I bought a 97 w/ 60,000 miles on it 2 years ago. It now has 79,000. I had to have a new exhaust manifold, but that is covered by a 100,000/100 month warranty.The brakes are still original and will last to at least 90,000 miles. So I don't have any complaints.
