Possible Market for Skyline V35 in USAtoasted8x 03-30-2004, 04:31 PM Check this link out, but it is all in Japanese. http://www2.nissan.co.jp/SKYLINE/V35/0301/ Looks like a 350Z, but I dont know, it says it is a Skyline. Just for a bit of info. :2cents: VQuick 03-30-2004, 05:18 PM Errm, you realize that car is nearly identical to the Infiniti G35 Coupe sold in the US, right? They even use the same 'CPV35' designation. Just so you know, the car is based on the same platform as the 350Z, but with a longer wheelbase. 1viadrft 03-30-2004, 05:35 PM In other words friend: the V35 SKYLINE in Japan is the G35 INFINITI here in the good ol' US of A which has been in the market for like 2 years now... you may now stuff your head in your pillow and cry by your lonesome... this isn't news at all, toasted8x... sorry. IN MORE RECENT NEWS: The R35 SKYLINE GTR AWD TT (unlike the 2WD VQ35DE powered V35/G35 [the SEDAN 'X' is AWD though... kinda cool]) is slated for US release in 2007! toasted8x 03-30-2004, 10:03 PM now, is the engine from the old style skyline the same and the one in the ad on the nissan Japan or is it different? Now, the G35 infiniti has the skyline engine in it? Just wondering about the engine and the modle of car in the market. oi_boy 03-30-2004, 11:30 PM now, is the engine from the old style skyline the same and the one in the ad on the nissan Japan or is it different? Now, the G35 infiniti has the skyline engine in it? Just wondering about the engine and the modle of car in the market. the g35 and skyline v35 are using new engines...the vq35 i believe. they switched from an inline-6 to a v6. and the g35 and skyline v35 are the exact same car just rebadged as infiniti GTES-t 03-31-2004, 04:18 AM True the US G35's only have the VQ35DE, the Skylines get either the VQ25DE, VQ30DE or the VQ35DE. Which means the US only gets the top end models so they can justify charging so much for the Infiniti badge. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
