i presume you mean Knock as in detonation since i never heard or turbo knock

but anyway it depends on what compression ration you have and your timing....however its is generally considered a good ideea on FI engines to use the highest octane posible

Is it really worth the possible trouble with using lower octane so you can save 1-2 dollars per fill up? Just use the highest octane you can buy so you won't have to worry about a thing.

i agree, if your going to bother with a turbo, just go with premium gas... its like buying a convertable and never puttting the top down..it just doesnt make any sence

Be smart and don't put anything lower than 91 octane in a turbo-charged car. It isn't worth the money you saved on gas when you have to replace a cracked piston.
