Finally Got My R32 GTR!!!TuxedoCartman 03-29-2004, 06:45 PM I finally got my R32!!! Motorex got her legalized in late January, and XS Engineering has had her till yesterday, doing some pretty nice mods on her. They squeezed 508.6 whp out of her. I'm pretty excited to actually have her in my garage! Just wanted to share... http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid109/pfb93aed76db44268317a16db545743d7/f92fd36b.jpg.orig.jpg TuxedoCartman 03-29-2004, 06:48 PM 1viadrft 03-29-2004, 06:54 PM Nice car, man! I bet you can't wait to race someone-? How much? Where'd you get it? Once again: nice car! I'm envious! oi_boy 03-29-2004, 07:56 PM very nice! good job tux SkylineUSA 03-29-2004, 10:17 PM Nice! What did XS do to the car? What mods does she have? Is it what you expected? Moppie 03-30-2004, 12:33 AM Nice, but how about an engine pic? I want to see what 500whp looks like, especialy sine its well over 650 at the crank. Must be fun getting it to the road through those tyres as well, and out of curiosity, what Gearbox or gear set did you use? TuxedoCartman 03-30-2004, 03:08 AM Thanks for the compliments, guys! Iviadrft: Got the car from Motorex. Paid $31,000 for her. SkylineUSA: Mods include... Garrett GT2530 Turbos 750cc low-impediance injectors Apex Camshafts Dyno Tuned Apexi Power FC XS Intercooler Blitz SBCI-D 3 Boost Controller XS Blow-off valve Apexi Fuel Pump OS Giken Twin-Plate Clutch Koyo Race Radiator Apexi Intake HKS Exhaust, Downpipe On the way, a set of JIC FLTA2 coilovers. Wheels and tires to be upgraded as soon as I know what wheels I want. And yeah, she's exactly what I expected! It's a real thrill to drive at low speeds, but when I really open it up...it's indescribable! Moppie: I don't have any engine pics right now. Frankly, it's quite dirty under hood right now and I want to clean it up before showing it off. The gearbox is completely stock, and the wheels and tires are on the top of the list for future modifications. I broke all four wheels loose in second gear earlier today. I was impressed, and disturbed at the same time. Plan on getting some BFGoodrich G-Force KD's soon. Also, I figured 508 at the wheels translated closer to 580 at the crank? Again, thanks for the compliments people! I'm planning on repainting her sometime in the near future (stock paint is in pretty bad condition) So when I do, and get the engine bay cleaned up, I'll post some more pics. Thanks! Moppie 03-30-2004, 03:27 AM You would be losing about 25-30%, with that much hp, and the heat it would generate in the driveline, 30% is probobly the most likely number. Thats 700+ at the crank (so yes I was wrong). my3rdskyline 03-30-2004, 03:46 AM man this image station garbage sucks. let me know if you want me to put your pictures up on my site. Looking good though. TuxedoCartman 03-30-2004, 03:52 AM Well, Moppie, if you put it THAT way....I'm not going to argue! 700 does sound a lot more impressive than 580. Really though, I've never been good at doing drivetrain-loss conversions. That's why I just posted her wheel hp. By the way, thanks for the offer of picture hosting, my3rdskyline. I get her shined up and re-painted, I may take you up on that. I just threw these up real quick because I was excited, and eager to share. Thanks again! RazorGTR 03-30-2004, 03:56 AM I've always like the blue, also a rare colour. Too bad it is de-badged! Something like that would lead me to suspect it was an accident car repainted. I hope not such a nice example from the pictures. What year 92? TuxedoCartman 03-30-2004, 04:11 AM Hey Razor, how're ya doing? I don't think it was an accident car. The frame is straight, and I don't see any areas where the paint may have been redone. I say this because, though it really doesn't look like it in the pictures, there is a HORRIBLE amount of swirl marks in the paint, all over. I didn't care too much when I bought the car, though, since I got it for a good price and was planning on a fresh paint job anyway. New paint, maybe something a little nice with the interior...don't want a show car, but I would like a real head turner. And yeah, she's a 92. TuxedoCartman 03-30-2004, 04:13 AM Oh yeah, I've got a full set of badges on order, so she'll be re-badged sometime in the near future. RazorGTR 03-30-2004, 04:33 AM 92 ahhh same as mine the first year of the face lifts :) Too bad i can't see a clearer shot of the front mount though. What dimension did the use to fit behind the mesh? SkylineUSA 03-30-2004, 10:21 AM Nice power numbers. That should be good for some mid-low 11s.:D Very nice list of parts. I will be going with the same set-up, except I will be using the GT-SS turbos, and some HKS 264/9.1 cams. I have a Blue one just like that as well. Its a very nice color. What size cams did they use? Duration and lift? Moppie 04-06-2004, 02:59 AM ToTheTop Theres still some questions I would love to see answered SkylineUSA 04-06-2004, 03:30 AM Ya, me too :sly: TuxedoCartman 04-13-2004, 12:06 AM Sorry guys, been outta town for the last week. To be perfectly honest, I'm not entirely sure what the duration and lift of the cams is. XS recommended them, I said yes. They seemed to know a helluva lot more about the RB26DETT than I'll even pretend to know, so I took their advice. If you really want to know, I can find out at some point though. The same goes for the intercooler; not sure what the dimensions were on it. I normally try and research a car to death before starting to work on it, but it's a serious PAIN trying to get good info on what works and what doens't on GTR's here in the States. Oh well...they did a good job on it, and that's all that matters to me. SkylineUSA 04-13-2004, 01:05 AM Can you post some interior pics? I would like to see where they laid eveything out. Also you might want to invest in a oil cooler. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
