I know that the Hodata Reflash is made to go with the CAI, but what if you put on a Short Ram intake instead? Is there going to be a loss in power or anything? Will the heatsoak affect how the Hondata works?

The heatsoak won't effect the Hondata, but it'll greatly effect the intake. I'm not sure what might arise with a Hondata and an SRI, but I do know that it's much more worth it to get the CAI instead, better gains. The heat soak will usually lose hp over stock in the summer and sometimes in the winter.

Hondata does many things which include advancing the timing. With hot air from heat soak going in this may cause premature detonation. never good cuz the nock sensor will start robbing your engine of power. And nothing with with the word 'detonation' in it ever sounds good
