No Lights!!Boss San 03-22-2004, 11:40 PM Has anyone ever had to drive in the dark without headlights? Not to be dumb, but if, such as, your fusebox burns out and you can't get it workin'. Or your headlights burn out. jazon720 05-06-2004, 08:47 PM yeah, that happened to me one time but good for me i was only like half a mile away from my house and i was on a well lit road. Boss San 05-07-2004, 12:17 AM What the hell? Someone actually posted in this? That's wild. I was probably 20 miles from my house. Some of the roads have no lights on them at all. I ended up driving with only the lights of my turn signals and side markers. That was a sketchy drive home. I hope I don't have to do that again. ultimatemicrofiber 05-10-2004, 05:08 PM What's even worse is attempting to navigate a windy road in a sudden blizzard at night. Zero visibility... can't see any lines whatsoever. No one to follow.... and the road is slippery as hell. imo, it's worse than just un-lit night driving because the blowing snow causes disorientation as well. A 10 minute drive home took me the better part of an hour due to fear of falling in the steep ditch lurking a mere 3 feet to my right. Gotta love rural Wisconsin. Boss San 05-10-2004, 07:38 PM ...and cheese. MagicRat 05-10-2004, 10:53 PM Back in my serious dirt biking days as a kid, I would go out for a ride on a clear summer night with a really full moon overhead. I would ride to my friends farm down the rural local gravel roads with no lights at all. The roads have bright white gravel and the full moon would illuminate everything so brightly, it was like daylight with 2 pairs of sunglasses on. Boss San 05-11-2004, 09:49 PM The moon was waning to almost nothing when I had to drive in the dark. There was no light pretty much for about the last three or four miles, (it was about a 20 mile drive) at least there wasn't any car for the most part. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
