Well, my V6 '91 Century was smashed into a tree outside my house by my friend the first time I let him drive it! That also was the last time. I was wondering what year Centurys and other GM cars from that period would fit my car, so I know what models to look for as parts cars. Thanks for the help, Al. :twak:

89-96 Century front ends are an exact fit. 91-96 markers are an exact replacement. 89-90 markers are all amber, instead of clear and amber. 91-93 used the same grill as yours, but the finely crosshatched 89-90 and the nice chrome rimmed 94-96 will also fit. All parts between those years interchange among Century models, like hoods, fenders, etc. You might get lucky and find a Limited with a power antenna if you don't have one already. 89-92 models had the black bumper molding trim. 93-96 model moldings were a light gray, except certain colors, like light blue and maroon, had body color moldings. Bumper guards were black on all models, all years.

Other 82-96 A-body (Century/Ciera/Celebrity/6000) front clips will interchange but many 82-88 models had sealed beam headlights and would require rewiring of the lighting systems. All 82-88 Century models had SB, as well as all 82-86 Celebrity, 82-86 6000, and 82-86 Ciera. Some cheaper 87 Cieras were also SB. All 82-88 models also had the turn signals mounted in the bumpers. Some 6000's had factory fog lights or driving lights in the grill as well. But the hood creases are different between different brands as well as fenders and moldings.

1980-1985 X-body clips will also fit, IIRC, since they are essentially the same car underneath as the A-body. I have seen one sweet black Citation X-11 with the Celebrity Eurosport front clip, Beretta Z26 wheels, and Celebrity dashboard. Was kinda cool to see a Celebrity 2-door hatchback!

Century front ends are plentiful enough that you should have no trouble locating the one you want, in the color you want, and if you can't find the markers and grill to match, eBay always has them. Aftermarket front clip parts are also very easy to come by, but you'll have to paint those unless you like flat black primer.

Thanks a lot for the help, guys. I now have bought a new windsheild and drivers side fender but haven't put them on yet. I still need both headlight assemblies (shattered covers, lights work), new bumper, and that plastic panel above the bumper; I believe its called the header panel, and the panel below the bumper called the bumper cover. If anyone on the Century board has a 89-96 Century front end, PLEASE email me at aleccbonner@hotmail.com Thanks, Al.
