99 Jimmy front end roar. Bad wheel bering???Cobra351 03-21-2004, 02:28 PM When I am driving down the road I get a roaring noise if I turn the wheel to the right, the more I turn the louder it gets, also the faster I go it gets louder. If I turn the wheel to the left it pretty much disappears.I am thinking it is the driver side wheel bering since when I turn the wheel to the right it would put the load on the driver front wheel.Does this sound right? All help appreciated. How hard is this to change? superchuckles 03-22-2004, 07:46 AM actually, turning the wheel to the right takes load off the right wheel, since the vehicle leans to the left as weight is transfered. take it to an alignment shop and get it inspected/aligned Cobra351 03-22-2004, 02:01 PM actually, turning the wheel to the right takes load off the right wheel, since the vehicle leans to the left as weight is transfered. take it to an alignment shop and get it inspected/aligned Thanks for the reply. That is what I mean,If you are sitting in the vehicle and you turn to the right it will put the load on the left or driver side front, that is why i thought it would be the front left wheel bearing.I just hate to spend 140.00 for a wheel bearing and that not be it.I put it on the alignment rack and it is good.May have to take the chance and just replace it. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
