exhaust recommendations...jimmyfunk 01-07-2002, 01:15 PM I'm looking for a full exhaust (header excluded) for a '00 Civic. I'm looking for one with a great sound but this is hard to imitate until you hear it on your car. What have you heard and seen that has impressed you? So far I've liked what i've seen from Apex. What are your suggestions? Si2000 Vtec 01-07-2002, 01:31 PM From what i've seen, A'pexi and HKS make the best exhausts for the dyno, but are also much louder than most exhausts. As for a header, I'd go with DC or A'pexi. OpticReflexion 01-07-2002, 04:21 PM i was pretty impressed when I heard the GReddy evo and the apex'i world sport exhuasts they sound pretty dope actually;) Hybrid Boy 01-07-2002, 06:11 PM Altho It wasnt what I expected, I have to be biased, and say go with an Apex-i N1, I also like tanabe.... For header.... DC sports... Or hytech, if u have $1400.... They are just as good, if not better than Apex, DC, GReddy and HKS. silvercivicgrl 01-07-2002, 10:54 PM my bf has the greddy evo exhaust on his prelude. it is really nice sounding (its a deep growl sound) he got a very good price on it at www.groupbuycenter.com it was like 500$ on the greddy site and at the group buy place he got it for 375 shipped. it will be cheaper for a civic tho madtownhonda 01-08-2002, 12:18 AM thermal or Kakimoto:D jimmyfunk 01-08-2002, 01:49 AM Kakimota?? I may be displaying my stupidity, but I haven't heard of them. Any information? dropedlex1 01-08-2002, 01:53 AM Originally posted by jimmyfunk Kakimota?? I may be displaying my stupidity, but I haven't heard of them. Any information? yes most definately, I beleive he was trying to say Akimoto Search for it on google. Anybody have info on exaust for 03 Corolla???? k91 01-08-2002, 11:15 AM Any opinions on the Thermal Stealth systems? praxis 01-08-2002, 07:17 PM I would highly recommend a Thermal (if you want a cat-back). They sound great. High horsepower gains. The Stealth systems are quieter but they are tuned more toward the low-mid RPM range. Whereas, the Classic system is tuned for mid-upper RPM. Besides, the Classic system has a low throaty tone...so who cares if it's loud...it is not that high pitched, raspy, hearing aid killing sound. Thermal is going for $499 shipped, for the civic, at a certain unmentioned online store...(see below) VTEC_boi 01-08-2002, 07:43 PM No..he meant to say Kakimoto. Very nice, very expensive!!! Thermal is good.... basically a choice of taste...go look on websites like www.modacar.com I like the EVO...tho it's a bit played CivSiGuy 01-08-2002, 09:42 PM Originally posted by praxis Thermal is going for $499 shipped, for the civic, at a certain unmentioned online store...(see below) $450 shipped from www.importhorizon.com :D praxis 01-08-2002, 10:17 PM Originally posted by CivSiGuy $450 shipped from www.importhorizon.com :D I tried to do that at GroupBuyCenter and Thermal had the PartsWhorePolice on me in no time. They called me and said that they would do everything in their power to make sure that I am unable to sell their product, if I was going to sell that low. They rambled on about how it 'degrades the integrity of their products'. (selling at such a low price). See the Tanabe effect. It's all personal preference. 1CiViC4u2Nv 01-09-2002, 08:58 AM I got a tanabe G power for my ride, love it, sounds good, looks good, although i only paid $400 at a car show, not tax, and no shipping ;) :D ! Good luck. LX98Civic 01-31-2002, 01:58 PM I've got a custom magnaflow cat-back $225. Sounds pretty good. I plan to upgrade to a HKS or tanabe one day. But, for the price, can't beat it! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
