Vortech to sponsor AF 350Zigor@af 03-18-2004, 08:15 PM This just in: Vortech Engineering (<a href="http://www.automotiveforums.com/sponsors.cgi?http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com" target="blank">http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com</a>) supercharger will be used on our AF 350Z. We would love for our members to have input on the following matter: Should the AF 350Z utilize the satin or polished finish of the supercharger? Picture of the engine bay when the car was still stock: http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=3006/61DSC00367-med.jpg Pictures of the car's exterior can be seen here: http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/showgallery.php?stype=1&perpage=24&sort=7&cat=3104&ppuser=61 Thanks for your input! castback 03-18-2004, 09:59 PM depends on if you are going to "bling bling" under the hood or just business. 90civicracer 03-19-2004, 12:45 AM Thats tight...can't wait to see how this turns out. I'll be checking in often to see the progress you guys have made. LjasonL 03-19-2004, 04:35 PM Satin ...duh :p Jay! 03-19-2004, 04:38 PM Satin ...duh :p :1: Amish_kid 03-19-2004, 07:12 PM One more for satin, the polished one would stick out like a sore thumb. -The Stig- 03-19-2004, 07:17 PM Satin... Everybody and their brother uses polished this... or chrome that. A clean aluminum natural finish just looks sweet. And tell Vortech that it's only fair to send me a Supercharger too. My Mommy told me to share, and Vortech should listen to their Mommy's. Zcaithaca 03-19-2004, 09:30 PM uhh...satin?...SATIN! 95_GSX 03-21-2004, 02:33 AM personally i would have rather seen a twin-turbo setup go onto the car, but i also understand the sponsership aspect of this build. so my vote goes to a satin finish SC. igor@af 03-21-2004, 12:58 PM Wow - I am very surprised at the way the votes have turned out so far. My original reasoning was since no extra money is necessary to get the S/C in polished trim and according to many actual owners it does look much better, that I should go with polished. Gafoto 03-21-2004, 04:07 PM I'm all for the polished, this isn't a racer, its a show car and it should fit the bill. Flashy, shiny, and attractive are what I think you should be thinking about. igor@af 03-21-2004, 07:38 PM This will be a competitive track car, but I don't see a little shine in the engine bay hurting the image, considering it will not be a dent in the budget as this is a sponsorship. flylwsi 03-24-2004, 06:33 PM that polished kit looks awesome... or powder coat it to match the car... i like that one best slk320 03-24-2004, 09:36 PM Powdercoat to match the car. My supercharger was polished, then I got it powedercoated in body color and it looks a lot better. MR2-AW11 03-30-2004, 08:13 AM powdercoat it rubin_bc 03-30-2004, 11:09 PM powder coat it... 1stGenRocks 04-02-2004, 02:44 PM polished or powdercoat pratical reoson being that since its a smooth finish you can keep it clean just by wiping it off and polished looks way better anyway RedLightning 04-03-2004, 10:40 PM go for cheaper!! 73superduty 04-06-2004, 11:35 PM Which one will dissipate heat quicker? Looking at horsepower here right? Chris khfromhb 05-08-2004, 05:41 PM get the polised one then have your intake manifold polised. ive seen this and it looks baddass khfromhb 05-08-2004, 05:42 PM polished, sorry igor@af 05-09-2004, 11:18 AM The supercharger is already installed (polished)!
