I have a 1995 Eclipse gs. I just got it this week. It is stock. I would like to get a nice ram air set up for it. I am thinking a K and N filter on it. Does anyone have an idea on what is a good one? What other mods should i do?

By ram air, are you referring to the style in camaro SS's with the hood scoop? Because those vehicles have custom air boxes positioned directly behind the hood scoop for maximum airflow. They are stock like that; if you wanted to do that to a Z28, you would have to do some custom adjustments, or buy a kit. The same thing applies to your gs. You can't just put a ram air hood and intake on your car because the position of the intake is not in the center of the engine bay as it is on most ram air cars. I'm not sure if there is a kit made for this...I haven't heard of one. I would recommend the AEM V2 intake for your NA eclipse. I've heard great things about those intakes being dyno'd significantly higher than most other aftermarket intakes, and they are the newest, top of the line technology from AEM.

Along the lines of the intake its self. Those are a little much.

Hmmm...I'm not sure what that means...

The V2 is too much money? Any cold air intake system will improve the respiration of your engine. However, while the AEM V2 is a little more expensive than an Injen intake, or several other models, it will compensate for the difference in price with better performance.

Ram air is a crock. At speed, you get little to no extra air 'forced' into the engine... it just doesn't work. Forget about that idea. A regular intake that most of the 2gnt people use will do fine for you.

If you want ram air get a CAI and open up that hole in the bumper. It actually works, but you will be getting a new filter every week.
