I have a 325i and i think the best option to get more power would to be put a S52 in my other option would to be rebuild my motor and supercharge it, I was just wondering in anyone has done either and what would you guys sugest.

personal preference, but if i had the dough, i'd keep my car NA and drop in the well-balanced S52

Personally I would go for a Turbo-kit. Garrett makes a nice turbo that bolts right on to your M50. Dropping in a S52 would give you the power you want now, AND give you the oppotunity to mod further. However dropping in an engine is A LOT of work and unless you do it yourself it will be very expensive.

I work on turbos for a living, and while a turbo would give you good power increase with out having to swap motors, you will still have to spend a fair bit of money to fit one - Correctly that is!
It is not just a case of bolting a turbo on the side of your engine - is your intake and exhaust going to be up to it? What about the engine management? What will happen to the legendary Smoothness of Your BMW engine after you fit a turbo?

Personally, my thoughts, If you have the Dollars go for the S52 Engine - after all if it still doesn't give you enough power then fit a turbo to it!

Just noticed your original post was S52 or Supercharger?

Superchargers not so bad as turbochargers, but wouldn't the S52 give you more power than fitting a supercharger anyway?
