I was in a parking lot making a left turn and I felt a grabbing on the left front wheel and heard a noise.. felt and sounded like the traction Control was trying to engage on the left front wheel. Shortly after that the Traction Control dash light came on and then the Antilock Brake light came on..Turning off the Traction Control did not seem to affect the grabbing.. Now I have both of the lights on and no grabbing or noise.. Nothing appears to be wrong at the wheel nor is there a problem with the fluid level.. What's UP with this?
Would a Scan tool locate the problem?

I have the same problem on my '96. During the winter months - the lights were both on continuously. Now that the weather is a bit warmer - they are only on 50% of the time. Don't know if I have a loose wire, bad sensor or what.

I've been told that you need a specific scanner to read the ABS error codes (still looking for a way to do it myself). Therefore, need to take the car to a dealership or tire shop that does brake work and has the proper diagnostic tools...
