High Temp Paint Matchsteve8091 03-14-2004, 04:18 PM I figure this question is worth a shot - has anyone painted their valve cover (or anything else for that matter) to match a red, powder coated AEM intake? I am looking for a high paint that will match. If not, I guess I'll have to go with an aluminum-ish color. GScivic7 03-14-2004, 05:50 PM I don't think you'll be able to get the same finish seeing as how powder coating is a completely different process from painting. steve8091 03-14-2004, 06:18 PM I don't imagine that the luster or properties of the finish will be the same, but a color match is possible. GScivic7 03-14-2004, 06:34 PM oh yah, color match should be possible, but finish won't be the same steve8091 03-15-2004, 08:03 AM Thanks for your concern, though. I certainly don't want to end up with one of those "15 shades of red" engine bays. steve8091 03-20-2004, 05:18 PM For those reading this post for reference, I found that plasti-kote makes a paint called "Anodizit", which matches the AEM colors (blue and red) almost perfectly. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
