i have asked before but no one replied...
we have a 87, and sometimes she just can't get up to speed and it feels like she's laging. her RPM's will all of a sudden drop then if you push down hard on the gas she'll get going normally again... why is this? does anybody have any ideas?
it feels almost like a bad shift, if it were a standard.
also sometimes on certian parts of the raod she will kindda ummm wobble a bit, from the back... no clue why. she has brand new tires, do you think it could be the shocks? or struts?

any help you can give me i will really appreciate...
thanks
Sarah

You might want to check your throttle body. It may need cleaning. And the wobble in the back is most likely your shocks.

ok so now i'm gonna sound really dumb...whats my throtle body?
i kindda guessed that the shock were gone, i have 4 brand new shocks here but i don't know if they are the right size.
anyways if you can let me know anything more it will be greatly appreciated.
thanks again,
Sarah

Sorry you're not having luck with replies, probably because everyone opens your post and sees that your year is an 87, pretty foreign to most of us. You might try going here and searching, then posting your question if you don't find anything on your problem:

Off the top of my head I would just start with the basic tune-up maintenance, plugs, check wires and distributor, fuel filter, air filter etc. By the way the throttle body is where the air intake box air line connects to the upper intake manifold. The throttle plate inside can get gunky but if your pedal is not sticking I wouldn't think you're restricting air or the movement of the plate. Good luck.

thank you for your help...i'll try the other site, and thank you for the other info too...i figure it's best to start with the small cheap things first.
thanks again
