Just in case anyone was wondering... for a P11 G20
Stillen now makes front AND rear strut tower bars. there was also some discrepancies in the past as to the application years but in their new catalog they have the following listings...

99-00 G20 front, part #307040
99-00 G20 rear, part #307520

i called and they also fit 2001 models.. they just werent out yet as they were revising their new catalogs for printing...


P10 owners still only have a front bar available...

91-96 G20 front, part #307014

Thanks, that's good to know! I was in the market for some front and rear STB's. How much are the Stillen STB's? If it's from Stillen, I'm pretty sure they're a lot.

I checked www.stillen.com and it shows that the front stb is $206.75...kinda expensive...so the rear bar I'd expect to be around the same price.

That FET STB would go really good with a brand new carbon fiber hood.

Anyway, yeh, the FET bar is tight, GAB also makes strut bars for our car. But the GAB ones looks a bit to plain for $200!!

yeah theres a few others too, but they are too plain so i paid them no mind... lol, i'm a sucker for good looks :D

Question: aside from pure looks, why will a rear strut tower bar help chassis stiffness since it has rear multilink beam?

It reminds me of the time when Stillen sold front "camber plates" for the P10...

That FET bar would go real well with that carbon fiber dash i got a few days ago. Im real fan of carbon fiber, to bad its so expensive... But anyways I added the bar to my "hope to get some day" list. Hahaha

maybe Luke can hook us up with a deal, as I've been wanting one too but it's pretty expensive for a strut tower bar. Not to mention shipping it here, the actual cost of the FET bar in Japan is about double of other bars.. :(

damn, that sure is a beauty. :eek: :D I have no carbon fiber trimming on my G, so probably go with the standard stainless. :D

and lucky us now.. there is a guy locally that makes carbon fiber helmets for bikes here that does work on the side for the show cars around here. he says he has no problem making us stuff so i think some of my dash will be making a reappearance as carbon fiber now.. anyone want to jump in just holler..

I hope I can get that FET bar in about a month maybe a bit more because I plan on going down to LA (No im not taking my G20 its too new for things like road trips) and I need to save money for a rental car, spending money, etc. But after that trip I dont have anything but my car to spend my money on for a while! So I will be buying a shit load of stuff for my car before school starts again and I only get paid for 2 days of work every week. I plan on getting an JWT intake, pedals, shift knob, some more Piaa light bulbs (even though they cost way too much), some exhaust tips (I dont want to spend money on my exhaust just yet), window tint, and of course that FET bar to go along with my little carbon fiber, clean JDM thing. The wheels I plan on getting for Christmas and any money left over goes into my fund of JDM goodies. I got a plans for my baby...

i have found the Tanabe sustec strut bar and already ordered it for mysel hehe..BUT since the intake manifold of the JDM primeras are different than the US ones, the bar MIGHT not clear...i dont have to worry about this cuz i am getting the DET motor in. anyway, price on it is $165..not bad, cheaper than the Stillen.
also, i actually found out the price for the FET strut bar...but its' a lot..arond $300!! again, dontknow for sure if the bar will fit or not cuz of the intake manifold. but when i get my tanabe in, i'll try the bar on my friend's G to see if it'll fit the US ones and let you guys know

I`ve found a strut here, dunno the price though. Looks kind of cool in red! It`s standard in the 2000 Primera 2.0 STTC LE (P11-144) (Limited editon, these were modified in Norway, by the Norweagan Nissan import, and there was modified 100cars) Also 215/45-17 Tires also original!!

I hear that APR now makes Strut bars ..I'm not sure if they have application for the G20, but guaging by their design ..it shouldn't be a problem to CNC one for the G.

APR actually prototyped their new Flex Control Bar on my car...they're about 2 miles from DR. anyway...it's still in production and i have no idea when they are actually going to finish it. but i'll let you guys know.

well...i dont wanna bash on APR cuz they're really cool...but their "chief engineer" smokes too much weed....hahahaha...the reason why the first one didnt fit on my car is cuz it didnt clear the 99 intake manifold!!! but he is gonna redo it soon (i hope) so i'll let him know about the 00+ intake manifold situation.
although i havent see in real life a 00+ G with the stillen strut bar, our rep at Stillen said that people have been return it so i am assuming that the bar dont even come close?

Luke, can you find a 2000+ car to prototype it with them?

the shock towers are still the same so a bar for the 2000+ cars would also fit the 99's ;)

yeh, i just need to tell apr to raise the bar higher...i'll see what they can do, but i gotta tell you that it's not their priority though...like everything else for our car :mad:
