HI EVERYONE I NEED SOME HELP W/ THIS ONE. I HAVE A 74 NOVA W/ A/C FROM THE FACTORY PROBLEM IS I CAN'T FIND THE HARNESS THAT PLUGS INTO THE COMPRESSOR. SO I FIGURED I WOULD RUN NEW WIRES AND THEREIN LIES THE PROBLEM WHERE DO I RUN THEM FROM ? ANYONE THAT CAN HELP I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT THE SUMMER IS COMING AND I AM BUILDING THIS CAR FOR MY 68 YEAR OLD FATHER TO SHOW OFF IN SO HE NEEDS THE A/C TO WORK. The best thing to do is find a wiring diagram for the A/C system. The compressor switch should be built right into the HVAC control head. All you need is power to the switch, a wire from the switch to one compressor terminal, and from the other terminal to ground, unless the compressor has a thermal limiter (pin type connector in back). You will need a diagram to determine how to wire it in that case.
