Installing new gauge faceBlackyK 03-08-2004, 10:32 AM I just got new gauge face for my '99 Cavy. It didn't come with specific instructions for installation. How do I take the dash off and safely remove the stock gauge face and replace it with my new one? Thx alot. SilvrCavQt 03-09-2004, 02:33 PM Well if it's anything like the 2000 cavalier, you have to remove the top of the dash first then the plactic dash second. and you may be able to just place your new gauges over the stock ones, thats what i did and it still looks good. Dont remove the needles :nono: 2000 Chevy Cavalier 2.2L (www.geocities.com/bowtiechic69/my_cavy.html) SilvrCavQt 03-09-2004, 02:35 PM Link not working, try this:2000 Chevy Cav 2.2L (http://www.geocities.com/bowtiechic69/My_Cavy.html) studballs 03-09-2004, 02:45 PM 95-99 its ok to remove the needles...they come off easily... STYLEZ24 03-11-2004, 08:57 AM yep, use a fork or something to pop them off gently.. make sure you mark all needle points, both when the car is on and off. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
