I have a 01 cavalier and I want to lower it this summer. I was wondering what you think a good amount to lower it would be without getting too low.

Dont listen to ^^

Having a kit makes it look worse if your not lowered.

The standard is about 1.75", up to about 2".

How low you go depends on where you live.. if you have some really bad roads, I would keep it to a minimum. Eibach Pro Kit is about 1.5" which gives a tigher look, but not too much change. take a look on www.j-body.org and search through the members. you will see the different heights depending on the spring application.

you can go 2" and not worry about being too low.. there are many other cars lower then that on the road, Stock... they dont have a problem, and neither do I. Im dropped 2 inches and never have a problem.

I suggest upgrading your shocks/struts or the ride will be pretty bouncy and you will wear out your stock struts.

Just my $0.02

oh man you gots a honey cav huuh?
the best way to lower a cavalier is 6 feet underground so i can stop looking at shitbags like that.
