the block heater .woow i did it

hello everyone i guess everone knows what is that thing and how usefull for the winter cold weather .toyota dealer asked for 100 dollar for one hour of labor ,another store asked for 200 and two hrs labor the thisrd place asked for 265 dollar for three hrs of labour .finnally i ecided to take my tools and do it my self ,here is the procedure .find the right place which is the block cover or whatever the call it for the v6 engine just about a foot away and behind the the driverside front wheel rmove the plastic panal by taking three clips off knocked with a big scrowdriver and hummer at the bottom of it it will flip around tyake it off by plaires wait for the antifreez to be drain completlly clean around the hole walls ..put some grease around the o'ring for the block heater and push it gentlly the and tighten it hook the cable and find it way to the front of your lovelly 4runner , it is 115 minutes job cost me 30 dollars only the price of the blockheater ..any more questions i am ready to answer

Good job that block heater will add years of life to your engine if you live in a cold climate. That was the first thing i put in when i got my runner.

well thanx for taking the time and writing to me ...look how the dealers and others rip us off for a 15 minutes job regarding to the windshld fluid it is full but still giving me that light the low level light ...
