2003 Buick Century w/Radio interference within the car

Since I have purchased my Century, I have been very dissatisfied with the CD/Casset radio. There is always static while listening to the FM stations. The dealer stated that there is nothing wrong with the radio or the antenna. Through the months it is getting worse. I bought a new radio and that did not correct the problem. I took it to CarTronics to see if they could find what was wrong. The antenna and cable are fine, they stated that there is an interference within the car that is making the radio have static. Has anyone had this kind of problem before? :banghead:

You may want to take the reciever out and look at the antenna connection. May be loose.

Food for thought... Check the power connections, especially the ground. Loose or dirty connections there will cause their share of problems, especially since the noise suppression circuits in the radio depend on a good ground. You might also check the antenna itself; loose connections on the coax or antenna body can cause this problem. Ray
