I have a 1992 lsc mark VII it is slammed to low from a mess up of a local mechanic who obviously could not get it to inflate back the way it was when he got it . There is a switch in the trunk that when i flip it compressor or something makes noise in the hood when car is running. Any help on reinflating air suspension on a lincoln would be great. It has to be something simple

Are all four air springs deflated, or just one set?
When you switch on the compressor, which should be on 24/7 unless your going to jack the car, does it run continuously, or quit after a few seconds?

Regardless, here's some great resources for diagnosing and repairing Marks and Town Cars:

I'm afraid that the air springs may gone. I suspect that the mechanic did not shut the Air Suspension off when servicing the vehicle.

Can you remember if the switch was on when you left it there?

And the most important question, was it on/off when you recieved the vehicle back from him?

If you can answer yes to both of these question's, I'd head back down there and prepare to battle for getting these components replaced.

Good luck
