He's certainly not jealous of that Big Ass ARB sticker you put on your deflector. :p

Jens - those dunlops look nice. I think I might put some nice wheels on mine with my AT"s and use the old ones for a set of Goodyear MT/R's.

Again today I peeled around that little mud pit near my office, I love the way they grip and fling it up, what an improvement over the Long Trails.

Claus was just at a tire shop nearby, apparently some other Xterra owner went in recently and traded in his General Grabbers for some Long Trails. WTF? Idiot!

Another pic of the tires: Closeup (http://www.superjens.com/pictures/jan2002/tireclose.jpg)

Those look like a real good mud tire! Next time OZXterra and I won't have to jump up and down on your bumper for traction! :D
Are they 31's"?

Admit it Rick, you just had fun bouncing on it. I'm surprised the two of you didn't rip it right off :p

They're 31's, yessir. I don't see those damn parking lot speed bumps giving me any more problems haha!

Are they 3 ply sidewalls? Do they have the rim protector and side lugs like the new KM's?

I didn't see anything on their website saying what ply the sidewall was.

Their website states: Six full plies under tread for greater tread block stability and overall tire durability

Two plies on the sides I believe, whereas BFG has 3 (AFAIK).

Side lugs? Dunno what you mean by that exactly, but I can tell you the lugs on the sides of the tread have a steep angle.

Here's another pic from some site:

I hear the 2 ply is good on the Dunlop as they follow as similar (and cheaper) pattern to the Goodyear MT/R since Dunlop is basically Goodyear. I think the Goodyear is 3 ply though.

I just ordered some good looking steel finished wheels at Discount Tire for $32 a piece! Ill keep the stock steel wheels for when I get some Goodyear MT/R's later this year. For now I am contented with the BFG AT's.

I'll be curious to hear how the Dunlops act in snow.

Cheers

I have to admit at the price he paid Jens got a great deal on those tires. No different though. Here's the BFG MT.

Goodyear MT/R. Reviewed by some as a better performer than the BFG with better road manners as well.

Pro Comps run very small, a 31 is much closer to a 30. I seriously considered them, but went with BFG muds in the end because they actually ended up being cheaper. I saw some Pro Comp muds on a truck last weekend and although the lugs are large, the gaps between them are very narow.
