hey guys,

i just got my liscense i will tell you right now that i dont know much about cars. I have a problem though and i was wondering if anyone here can answer it for me. I have a '96 ford ranger, manual by the way.

When i am almost to a complete stop i can feel and hear a studder in the brake and it makes the stearing wheel twitch a bit. i dont know how to describe it anymore than that. does this sound familiar?

help please...

Sounds as if the front rotors are warped. Since you are a new driver I will tell you, make sure when they take your tires off, in the front where the
rotors are , make sure they use a torque wrench when putting them back on. They should have an
attachment for the impact tool that does this anyway, but make sure.

Could also be the ABS. Fords are notorious for having this failure and it causes the brakes to pulsate like you described.
