1995 splash, ford ranger starts fine one day and then does not start at all 3 or 4 days later. After letting it sit awhile, about a day...it starts and runs fine. No computer codes come up when the problem exists. mechanic thinks it's electrical. When trying to start, the engine turns over but never starts. Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks

Check to see if it's getting spark when trying to start, also do you here the fuel pump run for about 5 seconds when you 1st turn key on?Spark & fuel are both needed, so thats 1st place to look.Did it just start this or have you done something (mods, tuneup) to it, then it started? It could be a number of things you have to start eliminating things starting with getting fuel & spark.

Sounds to me like an intermittant ground problem. Take a pair of jumper cables and go from the negative side of the battery to near the location of the ignition module. If its mounted on the intake manifold, get a good ground there. I've seen this problem stump many Ford dealership mechanics. let me know if this fixes the problem.
