Lumina plug wires V6

For anyone that is replacing the wires on any of the Lumina's with the V6 engines. Make sure the car has set overnight and have the new plugs and wires already bought. The front plugs and wires are easy to replace. Bosch brand are good plug wires but I use Champion plugs since AC wear down to fast in the GM engines for some strange reason. Anyway the bosch plug wires come with a special clear grease for the rubber boots that fit onto the coil and sparkplugs. Make sure you use this grease taking a small amount on your little finger and smear it inside the wire boot at both ends. This is also a moisture sealant to keep it from getting water into the connections. The back plugs and wires are a bear and no fun to replace so here's what you need. A thick blanket to lay on top of the engine. Someone with skinny arms and a good plug wrench. Don't try standing and changing these because you'll end up hurting from trying. Do one plug at a time and replace the wires as you go. Measure each wire with the new ones so you don't end up with a short wire not quite long enough to reach the last plug..

or you can make it an easy job and just remove the top motor mounts and pull the engine forward using the special tool made for the job or use your imagination by doing this you will be giving yourself at least 6 inches of extra room.

Sure if you want to damage the axle seals and possibly the radiator not to mention the danger of the engine dropping since it's top motor mount and not bottom. Taking loose the top mounts puts pressure on the only thing holding it up and that's the axles. I have a brother working at GM and have seen how these are put together on the assembly line. Your suggestion is not even safe.

for your info moron I've done it about 50 times I am a licenced mech. and I did take classes I am what you would call a professional also there is a bottom motor mount it is right under the crank pulley I would know I think I may have changed the engine in my car once and the top mounts hold the engine from rocking forward or backwards, it doesn't hold the engine up the mounts are horizontally attached, so take your old ass off the computer and smoke another one.
PS: if you really don't know what the hell you are talking about don't try to give advice.
