Try going to a dealer and asking if you can get a copy of how to remove the inner door because you are going to replace the speakers. Be careful though, if you break any of it that part cost $830 to replace if you have a 95-96 and $1300 from 97-99. Not cheap but I did it once with out any help but can't recall what it took. Good luck.

First there is a small plastic panel behind the door handle, pop that off with a small flat-head screw driver(carefully) and that will reveal a phillips head screw. Remove this screw next followed by the plastic piece it holds in. Next, along the very bottom edge of the panel there are two 8mm screws that must be removed. Next you will gently lift the panel upward and lean it forward. Disconnect the wire harnesses(three on the driver side and four on the passanger side). You should be able to remove the panel now.

To remove the speaker from the door panel you will need to remove the phillips head screws on the back side of the panel that hold the map pocket in place. The pocket is also held in place by two clips, just pull the pocket away from the door panel(make sure you have removed all screws). This will expose the speaker and I would hope you could take it from there.

whoa, my girlfriend has a 98 aurora, and when she went to go buy speakers, they told her they were 4x6's.

so thats what she bought, and thats what she's bringing over today for me to put in...so did some of the years come with 4x6's?
