What mods could I do to get my 01 cobra into the 12's? For now id like to stay away from any forced induction or nirous so any suggestions would be great, im really indecisive.

It wouldn't take a whole lot.. you deffinatly do not need forced induction to hit 12's... I have 4:10 gears and they feel like they do a lot.. haven't taken it to the track yet but i'll post the slips when i do... i would imagine that your basic bolt ons could get ours cars into the 12's easy.. my goal for summer is:

flowmaster cat back system $340.00
X-pipe 200.00
headers unsure
underdrive pullies 129.00
cold air intake 269.00
throttle body

that should deffinatly make 12 sec 1/4 times along with some sticky tires.. i have nitto 555R drag radials on my Cobra and they grip nice in warmer weather.. where are you from? If you live near rochester NY maybe we can go down to the track together...

That would be great, only problem is that I live in Florida. Thanx for the tips though how is the driveability with the 4.10's. I here they really screw up your gas mileage and overall driveability.

Another thing you will want to look in to is suspension that will transfer weight to the rear end better so you can get better launches.

I just got Nitto 555's on today, and they make a large differance. They are far better than stock, or Dunlop SP9000 Sports.

I'd do mods in this order: Shifter, gears (4.10's are OK, 4.33's are better), CAI, pulleys, exhaust. Don't waste a ton of money on a CAI, you can build one yourself with some PVC piping and toss a K&N on it. Also, learn how to drive good. Even with 4.10's or 4.33's it isn't that hard to hook up a mildly modded cobra on the street or strip.

Have you ever been to Lebanon Valley Dragway? Not sure how far it is from rochester, but I plan on going back there a lot this spring!

can't say i have.. i think the one around here is lester international speed way.. i've only been there like twice with my old cavy.. the one i go to is about 1.5 hrs away from my house.. i'm stoked though cause my buddy just started his GSR today after installing a turbo kit this winter so we kinda want to see what he runs and what i run... He had a best of 14.6 in the 1/4 with his exhaust taken off from the header back and the rest of his mods.. So the turbo should deffinatly bring him into the 13's at the 8psi he wants to run...

With the 4V Cobra motor that rev way up there and like it, the gas mileage isn't effected like the old 5.0's or even the 4.6 GT's
