Im gonna buy a top level Eclipse head unit that has like 20W/ch. and like 3V at 100ohm. and small Alpine Vpower amp for my car, for like $420 plus install what do u guys think. I already have a JVC Kameleon but it sucks and I have some tiny Boston 4" but they hold their own. Im selling the JVC to a friend for $150 and im trying to weasel $100 out of my parents. so i can keep the sting down. i think its a good deal. better than those dumbasses at circuit city.

ah
well we kind of need model numbers, not "top level eclipse headunit" and "small alpine vpower amp" to tell you if it's a good deal or not.

The deck is an Eclipse CD 3413 www.eclipse-web.com
The amp is an Alpine MRP-T220 www.alpine-usa.com

You can get the headunit new for $275 from several places, and you can get the amp new on ebay for $100. Neither of these come with warranties though, so if a warranty is important to you then you can get them for $420 from wherever you were looking. They're new for $420 right?

ah, well then it's a decent deal if you're still getting a warranty
