Idler pully

I really don't know why I am posting this probably extream boredom. I recently had to go to south Florida for work and decided to drive the 400 odd miles there. 40 miles from destination my idler pully just disentigrated on the turnpike. After an hour of waiting on the tow truck I got pissed and cut what was left of the belt off and drove on the battery the rest of the way. Thank God I had just put a new one in the day before. I was working so late every day I couldn't get to the dealer to order a new pully. Dealer item unfortunatly So on the night I left I got a tensioner pully and although it did not fit exactly on the stud ( The diameter was a little off ) I installed it and washerd it up to keep it lined up right. It made it home where I put the right one on. The moral of the story I would do anything to get out of south Florida.

Idler pulley is $24.95 at NAPA. Unfortunately, most of the torque plate must be moved back to access the nut and stud. I wrestled with mine for the better part of a Saturday. Pissed me off!

Funny I tried napa they told me they couldn't get it. But thats not a big surprise I had to go to six diferent part stores just to get the belt. As far as getting pissed of at putting it on try doing it in a motel parking lot with a flashlight. That sucked!!

It's a common shared GM pulley. You say Aurora in any parts store and look around and see heads shaking "no". My NAPA even had it in stock.

I want your parts store I swear the people who work in the stores where I live hate me and my car.
