Which late model Audi to buy ? (newbie questions)jbrooks 02-12-2004, 06:46 PM Hello, I am very interested in buying a late model Audi - either brand new, or maybe one year old with low miles. The number one reason I am interested in an Audi is all-wheel drive. I like very much the BMW m5, and certain E-class mercedes models, but none have all-wheel drive, so I am really looking exclusively at Audis. A few questions: - why do I only see 2003 RS6 models ? - if the RS6 was not released in 2004, why, and will it be released again soon ? - what was the last year a S8 was available in the US, and how much did they sell for ? - Can I get a new 2004 S8 in the US ? thanks. jbrooks 02-12-2004, 07:02 PM Oh, and one more thing - I know what an A8 is and what an S8 is, but what is an R8 ? I see them referenced here... Cbass94 02-13-2004, 12:48 PM Not to steer you away from audi's, cause I love em, but mercedes makes all wheel drive cars, they are stamped with a "4matic" on the back. The AWD system is pretty good in them too, but for now I love my quattro. jbrooks 02-13-2004, 01:30 PM I see that ... but in my small experience and research it seems that the quattro AWD system is the most technologically advanced out there.... Do all the models I listed (A8, S8, R8) have quattro ? (I know the rs6 does) thanks. jbrooks 02-17-2004, 12:51 PM Wow - this board is really dead :) Does anyone know the answers to my original questions above ? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
