I drive a MR-2, but my brother drives a civic. To make the story short... he wanted a B16A2 SIR2 for his birthday and christmas present. Hey I ain't loaded man... but still.. to shut him up I ordered one for him... Yeah..i am a hella good brother...ahahahha...BUT now that litto punk wanted a GSR instead of the B16A2!!! I already order it and paid for it... :banghead:

So i was wondering if anyone would like it... for $2500.00. It comes with:
Motor, Manual Transmission (5-Speed), ECU (OBD1/OBD2 equipped), Engine Wiring Harness, Required Cables, Distributor, Injectors, Intake Manifold, Exhaust Manifold, Alternator, Gauge Cluster, Required Brackets and Sensors, and Axles, EXCEPT FOR MOTOR MOUNT. but i check...motor mount is about $100-200. Please let me know if you want it..

No such thing as a B16A2 SiR II engine. The B16A2 is the engine out of the 99-00 Si and the SiR II engines are JDM B16A engines.

BTW: I would beat him over the head with one of the axles before I sell the engine. Good luck with the sale

hahhahah..how u know i didn't?!..lolz... nah if he is not blood related..damn i would do more than wacking his head with the axsle..i will shove it up his A-hole!!!!

i was told B16A1 is the SIR1 from 90-91 that used cable tranny and SIR2 is from higher year that used hydralic tranny.

this is partially right. JDM engines do not have a number at the end of the engine code. So all JDM b16's are b16a and b18's are b18c, I don't think they had a b18b in japan. Anyhow, no such thing as a B16A1 either. People usually add the 1 at the end to say it is a first generation JDM B16A. It came out of the Civic SiR and Integra Xsi and another model integra, but I don't remember which one. The B16A SiRII is from 92+ and uses the hydraulic tranny. The B16A2 is from the USDM 99-00 Civic Si and the B16A3 is from the Del Sol VTEC.

tell your little brother to quit being a bitch and take the B16, he can make it just as good as the GSR motor.

You are sort of rihgt, and sort of wrong.

There is in fact a B16A1 from Japan, it was in the first crx, or XSi, I always forget, but it was only one year, and VERY hard to find.

There is however B16A1's in Civic/CR-X's 89-91 everywhere else, but the Japanese market, all the Europeon ones, and Middle Eastern ones have 1/2 at the end. On that note, there was also 92-00 B16A2's in the same year and equipped vehicles All around the world were the model were availible.

And the term SiR and SiRII are very misused, since they were both infact trim levels, like DX, CX, SI etc...and availible from 89-00 and not different generations. So to explain it there is a 89 SiR, an an 89 SiRII, there is a 95 SiR, and a 95 SiRII, there is a 97 SiR, and a 97 SIRII.

Like I said before the first year B16As in the teg did they had a 1. After that, you are right, they didn't.
