rough ride

i have just purchsed a 2002 sierra gmc, and for some reason this truck rides rough. i put new shocks and tires thinking that was my problem. is there something else that i can do to smooth my ride on this vehicle.The truck only has 50k miles,please help.

New shocks, struts, dampners, etc, all have the potential to ruin your ride.
Also, if its a bigger truck (ie, dually, king cab long box, etc), it will be very light in the back, which will make the ride rougher; putting some cement blocks/sand in the back will smooth it out (my uncle uses a snowmachin in the winter; helps get traction a lot)
It would also be a good idea to go test drive a new one, as they are relatively unchanged since 2002. Your vehicle should not be widely different.
