i'd be much more excited if they reproduced the R32 R33 and R34's in the states and did all the state side safety and legal crap. I know a car company isn't going to reproduce older model year cars (let alone do this testing while keeping the cars close to JDM) but I think nissan would have a much better market for something like this (like nissan saying fuck you to motorex) than bringing in some gay ass V35 skyline GTR that looks like shit and nobody can afford. but hey.... it's okay that godzilla turned into a fucking audi TT. no offense, but neither of your posts made ANY sense...

oh that was just me going off about how bad i think they look. I just don't like it when they completely redesign a vehicle. the looks are completely different, the engine is completely different.... I dunno. I just don't get it. however my rants are not too be taken to seriously. I know this is trivial but I'm just pissed about the tail lights :-P I dunno, there's just something about 4 round tail lights and a straight 6 (yeah i know we got some 4 bangers and NEOs out there... i know i know i know). But like I said, there's just something about the R32 R33 R34 hell even the R31, they have this commonality and it seems to get completely lost with the V35. That's all though... just me ranting :-P I was going to make a photoshop picture of a V35 with a PT cruiser front end and a VW beetle roof but.... yeah that wouldn't be pretty.

I have some pictures of a V35 GTR but i'm not sure what "year" it is supposed to be or anything like that, it's just a concept car.

if it never happened, we'd all be rocking straight 12 cylinder motors and 25 foot long cars.

the rb26 was dropped b/c it couldn't meet emissions anymore.

the v6 has been proven to make 400 NA hp, as well as more with 2 turbos on it.

That's what Hiroshi Tamura, product planner for the R34 GT-R, as well as the next, said. No one knows what it will look like, so don't bother complaining yet.

Who cares if it looks like a TT? The 350Z is the TT's competition, and blows every model away without much drama, including the new V6. The GT-R 'halo car' will be even faster. It'd be more like an Audi Nuvolari(twin turbo V10, awd) than a TT.

As far as the 350Z being competition for the Audi, I think that R32 GTRs are in a class of their own that no one can mess with or even come close to reaching. There is no competition for godzilla at least from a demand and marketing perspective. (i think) I just don't like to see the skyline conforming to anything. I'd like to see it grow into a monster. Not develop some curves to aid it's sales/public appeal. But like I said, That's JMHO. I'm not trying to inflict my thoughts on anyone, just make them known ;-)

The GT-R isn't conforming to anything other than different gov't safety regs. With a better balanced platform and engine, the car is evolving to become an even better sports car than before. Even if the concept was the final look, you can't say it looks all that curvy.
