Now im 15, arent supposed to drive but wat the heck, atleast my moms cool with it. I find the Escort to be a great car, it pushes out of corners far better than a similar Cavalier, and Honda Civic. The escort is my mommys car, 99 SE, auto trans. I had a chance to floor the throttle once, and took it to 60 kph(around 30-35 mph). Im wondering, did I hit redline? It sounded damn near 5000 rpm, the engine started singing at 40-50 kph. Singing as in that magic sound you get when you drive a 4 cylinder to a high RPM. Im worried because I might've hit redline. Its a 4 speed auto, BTW. SPI 2.0 engine. I hope to get a ZX2 or ZX3 when I get the money, because I found I love these cars!
