I just got a 95 accord lx, how can I reset the maintenance light?

In your gauge pod there is an odd looking black piece of plastic, insert your key to reset to green. I don't beleive the '95's had actual lights, they were more of a indicator that changes colors. If it's an acutal light:
left hand press and hold trip reset
right hand switch ignition on without starting
continue holding until light is gone. The light started in '98 if I'm not mistaking.
